Camouflage
The art of hiding from your enemy so that he or she doesn't spot you can be difficult, and certainly is not something comfortable. While it definitely makes you look badass and feel invincible it really is up to the environment, your own skill and clothing you are wearing. Let us give you few rules that will make you a badass (like the guy on the picture):
This skill really depends on your role. As a normal frontline Airsofter you don't need to do too much of it, but if you're a Sniper, well the story is different. Snipers are without a doubt masters of camouflaging. In real life, Snipers take many hours just practicing this skill and perfecting it, but in Airsoft you don't need to master it to that level (although it can be useful at times). If you want to find out more about the camouflage then watch the video below. Keep in mind that video is not made by us, and we do not take any credit for it. We only use it for educational purposes.
- Never wear bright clothing - obviously you don't want to wear orange top and green trousers when you're trying to camouflage yourself. Unless you really want to but we don't recommend it
- Spare some money for camouflage clothing - what type of environment is your skirmishing site? Is it woodland? Is it desert? Or is it covered in snow? Get clothing that suits the environment. Woodland camouflages always have a mixture of green, brown and some even black to make it look like foliage. Desert camouflages have a mixture of dark and bright brown to make it look like sand. Snow camouflages are mainly white, but some have black to make it look more natural. And more recently there are patterns that take patterns from both Woodland and Desert camouflages. For example British MTP
- Buy some camouflage face paint - oh yeah the man's make-up :D make sure you get the colours depending on your environment and make sure that you don't leave out too much clear skin
- Look for bushes - bushes are your best friends. You can use them for camouflage and you can rip some branches off and stick them around your clothes to make you even harder to spot
- Keep a sharp eye on the opponent - look where your opponents are. If they are close, but haven't spotted you then it is a good idea to hide in the bush. Once you get there don't shoot straight away unless they are shooting at you. You can look what they are doing, and even bypass them if you are lucky
- Move slowly and quietly - watch your step! Don't move too fast, otherwise the enemy will hear you. Move slowly, watch your step, try not to break branches and only run for cover if the enemy has spotted you
- Play as a team - it is useful when you're doing the same stuff as a team. You can ambush the enemy from the least expected place and smash them within minutes. Make sure you keep in touch with your team and all of you know what to do
